Milled Forms developed out of research in the casting of digitally derived forms. I worked on a series of digital shapes to be milled and then sand cast into aluminum and steel forms. The challenge was to develop a technique to mill the forms as individual solids from which to make the molds. Tolerance was key in translating the digital form to the physical model.
