Analysis of building facade visibilty

Visibility analysis for High Rise facade for new construction in downtown Los Angeles.

A new tower development in downtown Los Angeles, adjacent to the Staples Center, was analyzed for views and visibility, both angle of view and value of view, that would help to define the use of led lighting along the facade of the building. The interest was in using architectural lighting integrated into the building which would work in unison with traditional rooftop signage. Designs were analyzed to discover the best opportunities for digital signage along the roof line, facade, and ground level parking structure.

Models analyzed for visibility from a range of urban contexts. Values of visibility were created for each design.
Heat maps are developed to visualize hot spots and primary points of focus.
Premiums on marketability of design are developed from analysis and used to further develop designs.
